Today everyone talking about cutting cost, from an individual to a family and a company. Even the federal and state governments forced to carry out the cutting cost exercises. This is happening due to the rising fuel and energy prices or another way to say is now recession time. I was thinking is that the only way we can do(cut cost) or we should have others alternative solutions to overcome this hard time.
I'm staying in Petaling Jaya, as I can see and feel that lesser peoples in the restaurants and lesser cars in the roads now comparing with previous time. My company is in Puchong, I have to traveling everyday from PJ to Puchong using the Subang airport road, surprising since the fuel increase the massive jam is getting better. For sure peoples now want to cut cost, they find better economic way to work for example car pooling, taking bus or LRT. Rapid KL report shown that sharp increase in passengers for its Light Rail Transit(LRT) and bus services since the increase in oil prices. Bus service increase was 7.5% while the increase in LRT passengers was 3.9%.
My most seated memories of eating in the foods stall near to my house after fuel rising, I'm ordered a normal Bak Kui teh and the price list shown that Rm8 for one person eating, that time because I'm quite hungry so I decided added another bowl of rice, when the guy delivered the foods and he asked for RM10 from me, is mean that another bowl of rice is cost me Rm2. My god, other peoples only charged RM0.80 to RM 1.00 per bowl but he charged for double. I'm not quarrel with him because the amounts is not big but do you think that i will visit there again. As a consumers we do understand that increase price due to cost increase, but too much increase is unfair to us, No wonder I have some friends who already changed their living pattern after fuel rising, all cook by they own. Even some of my office girls are cooking lunch in the office, it ready can save some money for other's necessary thing.
On weekends, I used to go out to a shopping mall to enjoy the "free Air-cond", like peoples said window shopping, but all that has stopped as well because somehow or another I would end up buying something unnecessary during such visit. In order to cut cost, I have stop go to the malls even the launch of Malaysia Mega Sale last week. In current world economic crisis, we should use our own hard earned money wisely because our future is unpredictable.
